Our story: The journey of MadeBySades

Made by Sades was born from something I’ve carried with me for most of my life—a love for natural living and a curiosity about what we put on our skin.

From the time I was 13 years old, I was always mixing natural ingredients together, creating homemade face masks and skincare recipes in my kitchen. My mom was always my biggest supporter (and my willing test subject!), and together we’d experiment with different organic ingredients, learning what worked and what didn’t. Those early creations sparked a passion that has continued to grow ever since.

I’ve always been drawn to a more holistic lifestyle. Rather than relying on heavily processed, mass-produced skincare filled with ingredients I couldn’t pronounce, I wanted products made from simple, nourishing ingredients I could trust. Over the years I continued researching, testing, and refining my recipes until I created a whipped tallow balm that I truly believed in.

A few years ago, my passion became even more personal when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. During treatment, many conventional skincare and beauty products weren’t recommended because of the harsh chemicals and unnecessary toxins they often contain. Watching her navigate that experience reinforced my belief that everyone deserves access to skincare made with simple, wholesome ingredients. It became one of the biggest motivations behind creating products that are gentle, effective, and accessible.

Then, in 2024, I welcomed my daughter into the world.

Becoming a mom completely changed the way I looked at everyday products. I became even more conscious of the ingredients surrounding our lives and found myself wanting safer, more natural options—not only for myself, but for her too. I wished holistic skincare was easier to find, more affordable, and something families could trust without questioning every ingredient on the label.

That desire inspired me to finally turn years of experimenting into something I could share with others.

Today, every jar of Made by Sades Whipped Tallow Face Balm is handcrafted by me in small batches from my home using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. I render, whip, and package each product myself with the supplies I have, putting genuine care, love, and intention into every single jar.

Made by Sades isn’t just about skincare—it’s about creating products I would confidently use on myself, my family, and the people I love most.
